Norwegian Air plans to offer $69 flights from US to Europe by 2017

Breaking news! Norwegian Air has just announced plans to offer flights from the US to Europe for as low as $69 one-way.
They claim that this will be available in 2017. They plan to keep costs low by flying from less-used airports, such as Westchester Country Airport near New York, and flying to Norway's Bergen airport.

Will they actual follow through on their plans? Ryanair has spent about a year stringing people along with claims of $15 transatlantic flights, pushing back the release date more and more, until finally admitting that this is probably never going to happen. (More details here: http://money.cnn.com/2015/03/20/news/companies/ryanair-transatlantic-flights-confusion/index.html) But Norwegian has already shown themselvse to be trailblazers in the world of cheap transatlantic flights: before they came on the scene, nobody could imagine a $140 flight from the US to Europe. I am cautiously optimistic about these $69 flights. What do YOU think?
