$45 one-way US to Iceland

WowAir is having their cheapest flight sale ever, with one-way flights from a number of US cities to Reykjavik, Iceland for $45 one-way. Check it out here.
Unfortunately, those $45 fares are only good for flights originating in the US: if you book round-trip, it's more like $150-$250 total, which is honestly still pretty good.

Now, WowAir is the most bare-bones airline I've ever flown (yes, including Ryanair), and you should expect to have no luggage at all, bring your own granola bars, and expect all the amenities that you would expect on an aging Greyhound bus, but it is hard to argue with $45. Once you're there, it will be cheap and easy to fly onward to Europe, and you can hop back to the US with another WowAir flight, its good friend Norwegian, home of a better flying experience and cheap one-way flights (especially cheap if you're flying from Oslo, Copenhagen, or Stockholm), or maybe you can catch a one-way flight sale with the luxurious Thomas Cook airlines, which will give you actual luggage allowances and actual food!
